The country couple has split after more than a year of dating, a source tells People.
"This was mutual," the insider told the mag. "They needed some time apart."
Hough, 21, and Wicks, 30, got together after they met on Brad Paisley's summer 2008 concert tour, in which they both performed. Within months, the couple was already thinking marriage.
"The minute we met it was perfect," Hough told People in December. "The first date we had we both had that feeling like we were going to fall in love with each other."
The pair also tangoed their way to fifth place on last season's Dancing with the Stars.
Both stars will be on hand for Wednesday's Country Music Association Awards, where Hough is a presenter and Wicks is working the red carpet for Entertainment Tonight.

"I won't be on 'Dancing' this spring season. I don't know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see," Hough revealed in her Fancast blog Thursday.
