Name: Chace Crawford
Profession: Actor
Birth Date: July 18, 1985

Chace Crawford grew up in Lubbock, Texas. His father is a dermatologist and his mother is a teacher. Crawford enjoyed a normal high school life, playing football and golf, but also enjoyed artistic pursuits like drawing.
Thanks to his striking good looks, he was encouraged to take up modeling, but it was not until after his 2003 high school graduation from Trinity Christian Academy that he started to take an interest in acting. Crawford had moved to Malibu, Calif. to attend Pepperdine University and performing was just a hobby at first, but soon enough, he found representation and landed a part in the 2006 teen thriller, "The Covenant." Playing Tyler Simms, Crawford was one of a group of young men who belongs to a supernatural legacy and unites to stop an evil force they released into the world years before. Though the film did not break box-office records, it did put Crawford on the map in Hollywood.
He landed his next role in Lifetime's television movie "Long Lost Son" in 2006, in which he portrayed the son of Gabrielle Anwar's character. Directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith, "Long Lost Son" told the story of a mother who realizes 14 years later that the son and husband she believed to have drowned are still alive.
Following this performance, he went on to star in the 2007 independent film, "Loaded," playing the younger brother of lead Jesse Metcalf, whom he tries to rescue from the world of partying and drugs.
He then landed his breakout role on the CW drama "Gossip Girl," starring as Nate Archibald, a young man uneasy with all the privileges that have been handed to him by his family, and who finds himself in a love triangle with his longtime girlfriend, Blair (Leighton Meester), and her best friend, Serena (Blake Lively).
Behind the overwhelming success of the series, Crawford became one of Hollywood's top young stars.
