Kristin Davis hosted this year's Costume Designers Guild Awards, where Halle Berry was presented with a new award, the Lacoste Spotlight Award, designed to honor "an actor whose talent and career personifies an enduring commitment to excellence, including a special awareness of the role and importance of costume design." Other honorees included director Joel Schumacher, who got his start as a costume designer and received the Distinguished Collaborator Award; costume designer Julie Weiss, a CDG winner for "American Beauty" and "Blades of Glory," with the Disaronno Career Achievement in Film and Television Award; and the late Michael Dennison, who was inducted posthumously into the guild's Hall of Fame.
