Jim Carrey Pictures: Jim Carrey visits the "Late Show with David Letterman" at the Ed Sullivan Theater on November 18, 2010 in New York City.

During his visit, Carrey joked that he always wanted to be a singer. So he went about asking Paul Schaffer to "challenge" him with a song that he could perform to show off his skills. Shaffer's choice? "Take On Me" by A-Ha.

The star was on hand to promote his upcoming film, "I Love You Phillip Morris," in which he plays a con man whose love and devotion for his cellmate leads him to make several daring prison escapes.
