Fantasia Barrino Pictures: Fantasia Barrino arrives at the official release party for her new album, "Back to Me," held at Rain nightclub inside the Palms Casino and Resort on August 28, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Two weeks after she overdosed on aspirin and a sleep aid, Barrino opened up about what led to her suicide attempt.

"I think I was just overloaded with everything, with carrying six years of so much," the former American Idol winner said Tuesday on ABC's Good Morning America. "I always take a licking and keep on ticking...it just became heavy for me to the point that I just wanted to be away from the noise."

"There's so much that people don't understand," she continued. "They just see the glitz and the glamour, and they feel like life is so perfect, but we're human and we go through things."
