LOS ANGELES – Michael Douglas is feeling "good".
The 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' actor recently completed treatment for throat cancer and admits he is feeling better than ever after his time out to recover from the disease.
He said: "I feel good. It's nice, about a year out."
Speaking backstage at the Michael Kors fashion show, Michael confirmed he and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones are planning a break in the country.
He told Access Hollywood: "She was supposed to be here today, but she couldn't make it at the last minute. I was hoping she'd be here, but we're all good together and we'll be heading out to the country later in the day."
Michael recently said he was feeling like he was getting back to his "old self" but still putting on weight following his treatment.
He said: "I feel pretty good. After a rough treatment programme I'm getting back to feeling like my old self.
"I'm still working on regaining weight and improving my conditioning, but it's coming along well. The most important thing is the cancer is gone and hasn't come back - for the first year after my treatment I have to have it checked each month, but the doctors are very positive."
