HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Denise Richards and Nikki Sixx have called it quits.
The actress and the rocker have split after a few weeks of casual dating, a source tells Us Weekly.
"It's crazy how this is being made out to be some big breakup. They were never exclusive or serious to begin with!" a Richards pal tells the mag. "I could count on my hand how many times they went out."
"They decided to try it and she was not interested," continued the source. "That's dating! This isn't some big, dramatic split."
Richards, 39, first confirmed the pair were an item during a recent interview with Andy Cohen of Bravo's Watch What Happens Live.
"We've gone on a couple dates," she said of her relationship with the Mötley Crüe star. "The God's honest truth is we're taking it very slowly."
She added, "He's been my neighbor for years. I may have borrowed some sugar from him once or twice. "
Richards has a history of dating of "bad boys," including actor Charlie Sheen, whom she famously divorced in 2005. After their split, she was linked to another rocker and Heather Locklear's ex, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
Sixx, 52, has married and divorced two Playboy models, Brandi Brandt and Donna D'Errico. He also had a high profile relationship with tattoo artist Kat Von D.
