HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It's official: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are expecting twins!
The 30-year-old Cannon finally confirmed the long-standing rumor Thursday on his 92.3 Now radio show, telling listeners, "I didn't even tell my wife I was gonna do this. I'm probably gonna get yelled at for not getting permission...We are having twins!"
The America's Got Talent host also revealed that President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were the first people to hear about the twins. Cannon explained that Carey ran into the Obamas backstage after performing Sunday at TNT's Christmas in Washington 2010.
"They, ironically enough, questioned my wife about, you know, 'So, what are you having, are you having twins?' " he shared. "And at this point she hadn't told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along. Because of the excitement, because of the emotion, she was overwhelmed [and] she shared with the President and First Lady that we are having twins."
Carey confirmed the pregnancy for the first time in late October.
The pair, who married in 2008, have yet to reveal the due date for their twins.
