LOS ANGELES — Is Mariah Carey pregnant with twins? Nick Cannon says fans better wait to hear the news directly from the source.
"If & when my wife is ready to make ANY announcements about private matters she will do it personally," Cannon wrote Wednesday on his Twitter page. "Thanks for being respectful. God Bless."
The pregnancy rumors began last month after Carey, 41, was spotted leaving a fertility clinic in Los Angeles. That was followed by her sudden decision to drop out of Tyler Perry's upcoming movie, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.
"She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to. More than that I cannot comment further," her rep later explained.
Cannon, 29, has been vocal about starting a family with his wife of two years, but that doesn't mean he enjoys the media pressure that goes along with it.
"My heart goes out to any woman who has to deal with public scrutiny and speculation pertaining to their private life REAL TALK!," he said.
