HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nikki Blonsky says her airport brawl with Bianca Golden's family has left her living "every day in pain."
In an interview with People, the 19-year-old "Hairspray" star says she and her father are "completely destroyed" by the July 29 fight, which took place at the Providenciales International Airport in the Turks and Caicos.
Both Blonsky and her father, as well as the "America's Next Top Model" star, were arrested on assault charges following the incident, which led to Golden's mother being hospitalized.
"The hardest part for me is to see my parents walk around in severe upset and sadness," Blonsky tells People.
Both families have told conflicting stories with regards to what took place that day. Blonsky tells the magazine that the Golden family became upset when passengers began saving seats in the airport's departure area. The actress says things quickly escalated after she asked Golden not to point a finger in her face.
"That's when she stood up, pulled her arm all the way back and said, 'F--- you, you white b----.' And she closed her fist and punched me," Blonsky recalls.
Golden gave a different account to Tyra Banks, saying the tussle began after Blonsky made a rude comment to her aunt.
"My aunt had two babies in her arms, and she told my aunt, 'You can leave. You can go away,' " Golden told the talk-show host. "I was really upset by that because my aunt and I are close."
Golden says that prompted her to step in, which led to Blonsky telling her to "mind your business." According to Golden, the next thing she knew Blonsky's father, Carl, was punching her mother, Elaine, in the face, while Blonsky herself was kicking her mother in the groin.
"Absolute lies," Blonsky told People of Golden's account.
Blonsky and her father are due back in court on Dec. 1, with Carl Blonsky facing the most serious charge — inflicting bodily harm.
