HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Teri Hatcher has launched her new Web site, a joint venture with Disney Family described as a "chick's guide to life."
Hatcher's new venture, GetHatched.com, debuted on Monday. The site will focus on popular topics for women including beauty, relationships, style, health and happiness. In addition to Hatcher, a team of experts will contribute content to the site, including celebrity stylist Steeve Daviault.
"Women, in all of our multi-tasking, chore-juggling, diverse-life role-playing glory, are the force behind everything," wrote Hatcher in her opening blog post. "We are the caregivers, the nurturers, the lovers, and teachers. We do the laundry, clean the house, feed the pets, drive the carpool, and as if that wasn't enough of a job, we often bring home the bacon. (And then cook it, too!)
"We graciously take on these responsibilities because we have big hearts and deep wells of commitment. But the weight of all of this too often leaves us drained and craving support of our own. That's why I wanted to create GetHatched as a resource, a go-to respite, a trustworthy support system for women."
Hatcher, 45, is a twice-divorced mother of a 12-year-old daughter, Emerson Rose. Her wildly successful portrayal of Susan Mayer on ABC's Desperate Housewives earned her a 2005 Golden Globe Award.
