HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rosie O'Donnell could be looking to capitalize on Oprah Winfrey's exit from daytime television.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 48-year-old star is gearing up to launch another daytime syndicated talk show in Fall 2001, which would coincide with the end of Winfrey's 25-year reign.
O'Donnell has reportedly teamed up with syndication veterans Dick Robertson and Scott Carlin to launch the new program. She previously worked with Robertson on her Emmy-winning Rosie O’Donnell Show, which aired from 1996 to 2002.
In November, Winfrey tearfully announced that her final Oprah Winfrey Show would air on Sept. 9, 2011.
O'Donnell famously left ABC's The View in 2007 after repeatedly butting heads with fellow co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
The comedienne currently hosts "Rosie Radio" on Sirius.
