HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Johnny Depp is back on top.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" on Wednesday, a title he first won in 2003.
"At 46, the father of two still reigns as Hollywood's most irresistible iconoclast; as one-of-a-kind as his beloved 15-year-old boots and as smoldering as his favorite Cuban cigars," the magazine said.
With the feat, Depp joins George Clooney and Brad Pitt as the only stars to claim the honor twice.
"He was sexy ten years ago, he'll be sexy ten years from now," People Senior Editor Kate Coyne said of Depp in announcing the magazine's decision on Wednesday's CBS Early Show. "He appeals to multiple generations of women — and for many different reasons to different kinds of women."
"He's sort of everything," added Coyne. "He's a guy's guy, kind of a bad boy, he's a respected artist and actor. You know, he's got a little bit of everything."
Depp succeeds 2008 winner Hugh Jackman.
