HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — An armed man suspected of stalking Ryan Seacrest was arrested Friday at the E! entertainment headquarters in Los Angeles.
Chidi Uzomah was in possession of a pocket knife when he was detained by security at the building and later placed under arrest by LAPD. Seacrest, 34, who was not in the building at the time, E! reports.
Hours after the incident, Seacrest obtained a temporary restraining order against the man.
Uzomah, a former insurance broker, was sentenced to 15 days in jail and three years probation for attacking a member of Seacrest's security detail at a charity event last month.
"We will be reviewing the police reports from both incidents to determine whether there was a probation violation," Orange County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Farrah Emami told E! News. "If the facts support a probation violation, we will be filing a petition."
Seacrest later expressed his thanks that everyone involved was safe.
"An interesting day here at E!" he said. "My sincerest thanks to the LAPD, who helped us out here at the building today."
