Jessica Simpson Hurt by Found Dog Claims

"People have been contacting my family and friends saying that Daisy has been found. Untrue," the 29-year-old star posted Sunday on her Twitter page. "People are so cruel..please respect her memory."

The 5-year-old maltipoo has been missing since September when it was taken away from Simpson's Los Angeles home by a coyote. The dog was a gift from her ex-husband, Nick Lackey.

"My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR!" Simpson tweeted shortly after her dog went missing. "We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"

Simpson has been busy of late filming her upcoming VH1 reality series, "The Price of Beauty."
