LOS ANGELES — Audrina Patridge is the latest castmember of "The Hills" seeking a change of scenery.
The 24-year-old TV personality said she plans to leave the hit MTV series so she can focus on her acting career.
"I'm almost done with 'The Hills.' We're in the middle of finishing these episodes, and I'll be leaving then," she told reporters at Sunday's press junket for her new thriller film "Sorority Row."
Patridge said the move is a long time coming and feels like a natural progression in her career.
"It feels like I'm graduating," she said. "I'm taking the next step and growing up and maturing and moving on in my life."
"I moved to Los Angeles to be an actress, and before I got onto 'The Hills,' I was going to auditions and castings and working full-time at [film studios] Quixote Studios and Smashbox."
Patridge said her experience on the show has been beneficial to her acting aspirations.
"I feel like it’s helped me a lot going to auditions and sitting in front of the camera... blocking the camera out and just getting into character," she said.
Patridge is the second key member of the series to leave in recent time, following Lauren Conrad whose final episide aired in May.
The next season of "The Hills" premieres on Sept. 29.
