HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Gwyneth Paltrow says she battled postpartum depression after the birth of her second child, son Moses, in 2006.
"I didn't know I had it until after it was over," the 35-year-old actress reveals in the May issue of Vogue magazine. "I just didn't know what was wrong with me...I felt really out of my body.
"I felt really disconnected. I felt really down; I felt pessimistic," she adds.
Paltrow, who also has a 3-year-old daughter, Apple, with her singer-husband Chris Martin, says her depression may have developed from cutting back on her usual treatments like acupuncture and massage.
The actress, who appears on screen next month in the feature film "Iron Man," says she's now back to her normal routines, including work-outs with her longtime trainer Tracy Anderson — whom she introduced to Madonna.
"I still haven't learned my lesson about not sharing my people with Madonna, because she steals them away forever," the actress jokes of the intro.
