HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Victoria Beckham is coming to "American Idol," but she won't be replacing Paula Abdul.
The 35-year-old Spice Girl will make a "one-off appearance" as a guest judge on the hit Fox singing competition, her rep told Britain's Sky News.
Beckham reportedly wants to stay away from being a permanent fixture alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi so she can remain focused on her fashion business.
The announcement comes on the heels of Abdul revealing on Tuesday that she was quitting "Idol."
It has been reported that Abdul walked away from the show after eight seasons when FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, the production companies behind the reality series, refused her demands for a $20 million deal.
Abdul is believed to have earned about $2 million in salary last season.
