HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Another celebrity family hopes to strike gold in the land of reality.
E! has announced a new series starring actor Lorenzo Lamas and two of his children, son A.J. and daughter Shayne, a former contestant on "The Bachelor."
While few details were provided, "The Lamas Family" is expected to follow Shayne's return to the dating scene after splitting with "Bachelor" Matt Grant last year.
Grant, a global financier from England, chose the 23-year-old budding actress over Chelsea, a pharmaceutical sales representative, in the twelth season finale of the ABC show. However, the pair split last July, just two months after their on-air proposal aired.
"We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions," the couple said in a joint statement after their breakup. "We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."
The new E! series, which is scheduled to debut in the fall, will be produced by "Bachelor" mastermind Mike Fleiss.
