MALIBU, Calif. — The daughters of ex-couple Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards escaped uninjured after the vehicle they were riding in was involved in a four-car collision Friday in Malibu.
Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, were reportedly being driving by a nanny in a Mercedes SUV when a Honda Civic made a sudden left turn in front of them on Pacific Coast Highway, setting off a chain reaction.
According to TMZ, which first reported the accident, only the driver of the Honda was injured. Their condition was not released.
"I spoke to Charlie and the girls are fine," a rep for actor told E! Online. "He is very grateful because the accident could have been worse. He was very grateful the girls were in their car seats and for the safety features of Mercedes."
Sheen, 43, and Richards, 37, have engaged in a very public and bitter custody battle ever since their split in 2005.
