HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Eddie Cibrian's stay in South Florida will apparently be a brief one.
The actor, who turned 37 on Wednesday, has been dropped from CSI: Miami after one season, a source tells Entertainment Weekly.
CBS reportedly opted against renewing Cibrian's contract after bringing him on board to help offset the loss of original castmember Adam Rodriguez, who has since returned to the show on a full-time basis.
The network refused comment when asked about the report.
It remains to be seen how Cibrian's Jesse Cardoza character will be written off the show. There has been speculation that he could be killed off, but a source tells E! News that has yet to be determined.
