HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kathy Griffin says her days of going under the knife are over and done with.
"I"ve been off the junk, as I call it, for five years," the 47-year-old star of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" reveals in the September issue of Fitness. "I've had face lift, eye job and all that stuff five years ago."
As for why's she "off the junk," Griffin says, "It didn't help me one bit."
"It didn't get me happier or didn't make me look particularly younger," she explains to the magazine.
The Emmy-winning comedian says it took a long time, but she finally figured out Hollywood's expectations and that "nobody expected me to come out in a bikini anyway."
"I spent 20 years obsessing about my weight. But I realized that I've never lost a job — or gotten one — because of it," she says.
With her new outlook and attitude, the comic says she's finally at peace with her look.
"I like my body now more than I did two decades ago," she says.
