HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jessica Simpson says current boyfriend Tony Romo is a stark contrast to the previous men in her life.
"I'd always fall for guys I wanted to save," the 28-year-old singer reveals in the December issue of Cosmopolitan. "For the first time, I fell in love with someone who saved me."
The couple, whose romance began late last year, have recently been the subject of engagement rumors, with Simpson denying those reports.
"We are not engaged!" she told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. "Tony and I have not gone to Neiman Marcus — somebody said we bought a ring there. I couldn't drag Tony in to Neiman Marcus if I tried."
While they haven't gone ring shopping yet, Simpson says she's open to marrying Romo in the future.
"I think any person who I'm gonna date for longer than six months, I definitely am investing in something long-term," she tells Cosmo.
Simpson, who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, says if she does walk down the aisle again, "it will be the last time."
"Nick will always be a part of my life," she tells the magazine. "But next time, I'm marrying the right one."
