HOLLYWOOD, Cailf. — Gwyneth Paltrow is getting into the holiday spirit by offering up a shopping guide with a personal touch.
"What better way to show someone your love this gift-giving season than by giving a personalized present?" the 37-year-old actress writes on her Web site Goop.com. "With just a little forethought and organization, you can do something really special."
Among Paltrow's recommendations is Felix the Cook, which bakes customized cookies for all seasons and occasions.
When it comes to children's gifts, Paltrow says she turns to Chloe In Style for handcrafted toys and accessories made by entrepreneurial moms with home-based businesses.
"I like the idea of giving a gift that supports other mom's endeavors," she says.
Among her favorites are Mompreneur Kata, who makes toys and decorations out of hand-stitched felt.
Patrow is also a fan of Em Tanner's personalized melamine plates, which can be customized with cartoon portraits of your children.
Other suggestions include personalized iPods, Converse shoes and jewelry.
