LOS ANGELES — The candles have barely blown out but Emma Roberts is ready to celebrate again.
The young actress, who turned 18 on Tuesday, is the new face and voice of Neutrogena, the skin-care and cosmetics maker announced today.
"I'm so excited to enter this new chapter in my life. To be a part of a brand that I have always loved and believed in is a once in a lifetime opportunity," Roberts said in a statement. "It's important to me to be associated with Neutrogena because they instill confidence and beauty in young women."
In her new role, Roberts joins a list of fellow Neutrogena brand ambassadors that includes Diane Lane, Jennifer Garner, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere, Gabrielle Union, Susie Castillo, Malin Ackerman and Natascha McElhone.
Roberts first rose to prominence on the hit Nickelodeon series "Unfabulous." She has since gone on to appear in such box-office films as "Aquamarine," "Nancy Drew" and most recently, "Hotel for Dogs."
"Emma Roberts embodies the youthful spirit and confidence that have always been part of the Neutrogena brand and we are proud to have her as our newest brand ambassador," said Neutrogena president Jim Colleran.
