HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Eddie Cibrian and Brandi Glanville are officially done.
On Monday, the 36-year-old actor filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, citing irreconcilable differences, court papers revealed.
"He filed yesterday and I accepted it," Glanville told E! News Tuesday. "We're getting a divorce. We talked to each other yesterday."
Glanville announced last month that she was separating from the "CSI: Miami" star, who was first was rumored to be having an affair with singer LeAnn Rimes in March. Rimes, 26, and her husband, Dean Sheremet, have also since separated.
After months of denying a romance, Cibiran and Rimes took their relationship public earlier this month when they hit the golf links together at the Valencia Country Club in Valencia, Calif., located just north of Los Angeles. The pair first became close while working together on the Lifetime movie "Northern Lights."
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, Glanville describes her soon-to-be ex-husband as "a compulsive liar, cheater and a home wrecker."
"Eddie's displays of poor taste have hurt our two children," she tells the mag. "Eddie may just end up drowning himself in that 'unfair fishbowl.' "
Glanville also tells E! that Cibrian and Rimes have a trip upcoming that will certainly make the tabloids happy.
"They're going on vacation this weekend to Mexico," she said. "I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures."
However, Glanville appears to be moving on with her life, telling E!, "It's just over for me. We're both happy. This is going to be good."
