HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Dean McDermott has been hospitalized after his second motorcycle accident this year.
McDermott, 43, is being treated in the intensive care unit at a Los Angeles-area hospital after suffering a punctured and collapsed lung, according to People.
"He's in a lot of pain," his wife, Tori Spelling, told the mag.
McDermott crashed on Tuesday while he was out dirt bike riding with two friends.
"His friend called me and said he was in the ER," Spelling told People. "He didn't want to scare me so he just said he had a crash and that they were X-raying him."
"At first I was mad," she continued. "I was pissed that he was out biking and crashed. But when I showed up and saw him lying there, and they told me they were admitting him to ICU with a collapsed lung, my heart dropped. My biggest fear had come true."
McDermott will remain in intensive care for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery.
In January, McDermott fractured his shoulder in a motorcycle accident at California's Auto Club Speedway.
