HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Daniel Radcliffe is already plotting his dream role once his days as Harry Potter come to an end.
"I think part of me would love to play a drag queen," the 19-year-old actor reveals in the October issue of Details. "Just because it would be an excuse to wear loads of eye makeup."
While he still has two more "Harry Potter" films set to be released in the future, Radcliffe has been working to break away from his magical character, including a recent fully-nude role in the London play "Equus." While other young stars have struggled with the spotlight, Radcliffe has managed to do just fine.
"I don't pretend to do anything particularly wild," he tells the magazine. "People talk about rebellion and they say, 'Where is the teenage angst?' But I say I try to do it simply by the choices I make in the work I do. I just like wrong-footing people. I write poetry and I love it. I like being different from most other people in my generation."
While the "Harry Potter" franchise has made him extraordinarily rich, Radcliffe says he doesn't plan to spend wildly anytime soon.
"The only thing I'm likely to spend [my money] on is artwork," he says, "'cause that's the only thing I'm interested in that costs a lot of money."
