Cher Reveals Her Brief Fling With Tom Cruise to Oprah

Cher, pictures, photos, pics, images, hot, sexyLAS VEGAS, Nev. — Cher has confessed to having a brief romance with Tom Cruise, not long after the star's breakout role in 1983's "Risky Business."

"I was crazy about him," the 61-year-old star revealed during a special taping of the "Oprah Winfrey Show" in Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Cher, who is 16 years older than Cruise, said the romance was a short one — as in one date — but it was memorable. At the time, she was already an established star, while Cruise was still climbing the Hollywood ranks.

At one point during the interview, she recalls being in a New York restaurant with the actor when he recognized a woman he knew from his high school days.

"She wouldn't give me the time of day (back then)," he told Cher. "I was such a boob."

Winfrey's interview with Cher will air on May 8, two days after the Grammy-winner opens her three-year run at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace.
