HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Cameron Diaz says she's just like a fine wine.
"I feel I get better with age," the 35-year-old actress reveals in the June issue of the U.K. version of Cosmopolitan. "I look at pictures of myself when I was 21 and think, 'Wow, I don't look so bad.' "
Of course, Diaz, whose father passed away unexpectedly last month, says part of the reason for that is the wisdom that comes with age.
"I take more care or myself now, so in a way, I feel like I look better than I did then," she explains. "I feel stronger and more confident."
Diaz, whose new film "What Happens in Vegas" opened last weekend, admits that she "had to have work on my nose" after a 2005 surfing accident. But the star says that's the brunt of her plans for plastic surgery.
"I'd never do anything else," she says. "I think beauty comes from the inside."
Of course, sometimes that beauty gets shielded by the occasional pimple.
Says Diaz: "Sometimes I'll look in the mirror and be like, 'Damn, where did that that come from?' Seriously! I'm 35 years old. When is this going to stop?!"
As for whether marriage might be a part of her future, the "Something About Mary" star says anything's possible.
"There are a lot of ways to approach commitment and relationships — and marriage is just one of them," says Diaz, who has been romantically linked in the past to such stars as Matt Dillon, Jared Leto and Justin Timberlake.
"I think partnerships are a wonderful thing in whatever form they take, and I definitely want that in my life, whether or not it's in the traditional sense," she adds.
