HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Audrina Patridge is headed for the big screen.
"The Hills" star has landed her first movie role, signing on board for the sequel "Into the Blue 2," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jessica Alba and Paul Walker starred in the original "Blue," which landed in theaters in 2005.
According to the trade publication, the sequel will revolve around a married couple (Chris Carmack and Laura Vandervoort) hired as professional divers to search for Columbus' hidden treasure. However, they soon discover that their bosses have a hidden agenda that is much to their disliking.
The 23-year-old Patridge will portray a no-nonsense beach beauty who has a boyfriend catering to her every command, the Reporter says.
Patridge is the first star from the hit MTV reality series to land a feature film role. Her "Hills" co-star Lauren Conrad appeared in the comedy "Epic Movie," but she portrayed herself in the film.
