HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "American Idol" narrowed down its list of competitors on Thursday night with one added twist during a truly "wild" wild-card round.
The eight contestants who got a lifeline from the judges at the end of Wednesday night's show thought they were fighting for the final three spots in the top 12, but in a surprise twist they discovered the top 12 would actually be a top 13 — a series first.
Jasmine Murray, Megan Corkrey, Matt Giraud and Anoop Desai turned out to be the fortunate four. They joined previously-picked finalists Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre, Jorge Nunez, Lil Rounds and Michael Sarver.
The gang celebrated with an "American Idol" Top 13 party held Thursday night at West Hollywood hotspot Area. Click here to check out party photos from the event.
