After 22 years on the air, "The Bold and the Beautiful" finally won best drama series at the 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards, which were hosted by "Ugly Betty" co-star Vanessa Williams. Another breakthrough win came when the ladies of "The View" — Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters — ended Ellen DeGeneres' four-year reign as best talk show host.
