HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tony Parker is trying to stay upbeat after his divorce from Eva Longoria.
"[Divorce] was hard but life goes on," the San Antonio Spurs guard told French radio station Europe1. "Like anyone else, I've learned that life is full of experiences, and you learn from your mistakes. And go on."
The NBA star said basketball has been an "escape," allowing him to taking his mind off the divorce, which was finalized last week.
But forget about Parker asking for a pity party.
"I've been really lucky in life," he said. "I've super family, friends – that's what's most important. When you look around with what's going on in the world – with sick children, people in real difficulties – I have no right to complain."
His ex-wife seems to share the same opinion. Earlier this week, Longoria posted a hopeful message to her Twitter followers.
"Starting over is hard to do, but life goes on," she said. "I pray for strength, courage and wisdom on my new journey."
Parker and Longoria married on July 7, 2007 in a 17th century castle outside Paris.
