HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rihanna is opening up about her debut fragrance Reb'l Fleur, a scent that was many years in the making.
"Over the years, I layered many different scents to get something that was truly my own," the 22-year-old singer tells People of creating the perfume. "But I wanted...something that said 'Rihanna was here.' Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory."
Rihanna teamed up with Parlux Fragrances Inc. in creating the scent, which recalls her Caribbean roots with delicious fruits and sumptuous florals, as well as a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber. So what's the story behind the name of her fragrance?
"My grandmother in Barbados used to call me her Rebel Flower," she reveals to the mag.
Reb'l Fleur will begin arriving in stores next month, with prices ranging from $49 (1.7 oz. bottle) to $59 (3.4 oz. bottle).
