HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Is Marion Cotillard joining the cast of The Dark Knight Rises?
The 35-year-old French actress is currently "in discussions" to join the Batman sequel, "but nothing has been confirmed yet," her rep tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Cotillard is currently pregnant and due in the spring, which could pose some scheduling issues. However, the plan is for her to begin shooting this June in London, film all summer in L.A. and Pittsburgh, and wrap by mid-November in New York, the trade publication said.
The role would reunite Cotillard with her Inception director Christopher Nolan.
Anne Hathaway has already been cast as Selina Kyle – aka Catwoman – in the film. She will star alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Others in the cast include Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated for release on July 20, 2012.
