ARLINGTON, Texas — The Black Eyed Peas will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show on Feb. 6, 2011, the NFL announced today during the New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys game broadcast on Fox.
The Super Bowl and halftime show, which will be broadcast worldwide, will take place at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Last year's halftime show, which featured The Who, was watched by more than 153 million viewers in the U.S. Other performers in recent years have included Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.
The Grammy-winning Black Eyed Peas, comprised of Fergie, will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap, will release their new album, The Beginning, on Nov. 30.
